Paul Schrader, The original showman of American Film Industry, was called so due to his futuristic and insightful vision of cinema. He made in this completely out of the trend movie in 1979, which shows the kind of understanding and passion he had for cinema even in the early years of his career.
A father searching for his daughter, who has vanished only to appear in a pornographic film-plot of this experimental movie from the A-team productions. George C.Scott is in his full form and completely believable in the role of the poor man. The incidents in his journey towards the search of his daughter are both entertaining and enlightening for a serious viewer. The director also uses music and songs in this unusual plot in a remarkable way. A simple movie made with noble intentions and a must for the appreciators of Art Cinema.
