Khoya Khoya Chand(2007)(Movies To See Before You Die)(Drama)

A fast paced exciting drama about  the lifestyle of celebrities with aplomb with the 1950s film industry as its backdrop .Circa 1960s Lucknow-based author Zafar Ali Naqvi, who has issues with his father and his four wives, including the 4th one who lusts after him, re-locates to Bombay, starts writing for movies, and falls in love with starlet Nikhat Sheikh . A very finely edited movie with not a single dull moment before the climax. Only at the end it becomes a little slow but then picks up fast with the entire mystery unfolding. Lucknow locales have been shot beautifully and you will surely enjoy these new locations not usually seen in the recent movies (Arbaz khan's DEBANG2 was also shot in Lucknow, but he could not capture the beauty of the city). In this brilliantly wriiten script, every single character on the screen has some role in the trap laid for the zafair's mother. Fine acting by everyone makes it a strongly recommended movie for a good weekend.
