Re-defining relationships and love in his movie, “Body Heat” is Lawrence Kasdan’s remarkable gift to Hollywood Lovers all over the world. It proved to be a milestone in the career of all the leading stars and they still have sweet memories of this loving movie. Casting William Hurt in the role of a an inept, and somewhat sleazy lawyer,indeed needed real courage after his immensely popular “Eye Witness”. And William Hurt, as expected, did complete justice with his well written role.
But the best part in the movie, arguably, is played by Richard Crenna in his own unique style. The particular scene where he comes to know about his wife’s affair, but still takes it lightly with a deep understanding, puts Richard Crenna, on top of the list of all the performers. His scenes with wife played by Kathleen Turner are equally entertaining and well directed.
This movie easily can be included in the category of Classics by the masters of American Film Industry. With the brilliant music of John Barry , the expressions of sex, murder and revenge are beautifully captured on the screen. A must watch movie to suspense and thrill.
