 The basic idea of revenge was taken from “Narasimham” and used  in “Praja” (2001) by the director Joshi.

The same  flick was again followed by the makers of “Natturajavu”released in 2004.

Four Brothers (2005) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Action)

A well made movie based on the western film'The Sons of Katie Elder'. The film shows how four brothers look to avenge their mother's death . Four adopted brothers come to avenge their mother's death in what appears to be a random killing in a grocery store robbery. However, the boys' investigation of the death reveals more nefarious activities involving the one brother's business dealings with a notorious local hoodlum. Two cops who are trying to solve the case may also not be what they seem. A well directed movie.

 

 Really deserves a serious watch, not to be missed.

Mera Naam Joker (1970) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Comedy)

With 'mera nam jocker" Raj Kapoor, once again proved that he is among the top 10 actors of the India. For the first time he plays a role of a jocker in the circus tent, and what an act he has delivered. After seeing the movie you will surely start looking for more of his works. The film is capable of turning any film lover into a huge fan of Raj Kapoor. He got a truly deserved FILMFARE for his brilliant direction in the movie are worth seeing. In fact Raj Kapoor is an inspiration for many actors in Bollywood including our living legend Anil Kapoor. Mera Naam Joker is a film about a clown who must make his audience laugh at the cost of his own sorrows.  A movie to have in your personal collection for seeing it again & again. Valarthu Mrugangal (1981) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Musical)

An amazingly crafted movie . The movie is over 21/2 hours . The emotions and expressions of a circus lady which are shot superbly.Madhavi also deserves appreciation for her emotions . So its a real treat for all , simply not to be missed.

January Oru Orma (1987) &Guide (1965)

“January oru orma" is unarguably, one of the best action film made in Mollywood with an excellent star-cast and a action based script. It can be easily included among the most favorite malayalam Movies List of all time. The director Joshi  has made his place in the History of malayalam Cinema with this highly enjoyable evergreen action classic.

However, there is one very interesting fact associated with the movie and its director joshi related to the  plot of the movie. In the movie, as mohanlal as a tourist guide,and met a family which later a turning point in his life.He fall in love with the girl of that family.

 

The same sequence is there in 1960s hit drama “Guide” and the similarity rests here only as the hindi Version is not an action flick. So both movies are quite different to each other, with their contrasting subjects and treatment.

Theevram (2012) & its famous flashback Sequence.

“Theevram” was Dulquer Salmaan’s flop movie with Shikha Nair . It was an action packed thriller with its basic theme inspired from“7 Days” (2010). And the Famous flashback Sequence of “Theevram”, in which two plots,one set in the present and the other about five years back is exactly similar to the scene in “Kaakha Kaakha” (2003).

Punjabi House (1998) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Comedy)

Those who like meaningful cinema and still havent seen this, should essentially watch Punjabi House, this very moment. A sensitive and comical movie, which i rate as one of the Top Ten Malayalam Movies till date.

 

Very few films have been made about the world of people without tongue, about how they talk their feelings and how they fight with the other talkful people in existence . Punjabi House is one of those rare movies made straight from heart. 

 

All the characters,Dileep  ,Mohini ,Janardhanan , Lal ,Jomol  & more, do rate this movie, among their top 5.When somebody mistakes you as deaf and dumb, and all the fortunes fall on you, what will you do.? There are several such sequences in the film which touch your heart and make you think about the world of dumb. Please don’t take it as a boring slapstic movie. Its surely entertaining and enlightening for all the living beings gifted with the blessing of healthy tongues.
